Turkish Citizenship Investment Options
Foreign investors may qualify through one of the following routes:
Purchase real estate worth at least USD 400,000
Deposit at least USD 500,000 in a bank operating in Türkiye
Purchase at least USD 500,000 in Turkish government bonds

The relevant investment must generally be maintained for at least three years and confirmed by the responsible Turkish government authority.
Real Estate Investment Route
The real estate route requires the purchase of qualifying property worth at least USD 400,000 or its equivalent in an accepted foreign currency.
A restriction preventing the property from being sold for at least three years must be registered with the title deed. The transaction must also comply with the applicable valuation, payment, ownership and land registry requirements.
Bank Deposit and Financial Investment Routes
Investors who prefer financial assets may qualify by depositing at least USD 500,000 in a Turkish bank or purchasing qualifying government bonds or investment fund shares.
The funds or financial instruments must normally remain in place for at least three years. Each investment route requires confirmation from the relevant regulatory authority.
Application Process
The process generally includes:
Selecting the appropriate investment category
Completing legal and financial due diligence
Making the qualifying investment
Obtaining an official certificate of eligibility
Applying for the relevant residence permit
Preparing and submitting the citizenship application
Completing government identity, background and security reviews
Investors meeting the required investment thresholds, together with eligible family members, may also qualify for a special short-term residence permit valid for up to five years.
Can Family Members Be Included?
The principal investor may generally apply together with a spouse and eligible minor or dependent children, subject to the relevant documentation and government assessment.
Adult independent children and other relatives are not normally included automatically in the principal investor’s application.
Why Professional Due Diligence Matters
Meeting the minimum investment amount does not automatically guarantee approval. Property eligibility, ownership records, payment evidence, valuation documents and the applicant’s personal documentation must all comply with the applicable rules.
